Our mission is to lead the widespread adoption of MgO panels in homes and buildings across North America. We offer a proprietary range of innovative MgO panel products with high fire resistance, structural strength, and exceptional durability. These products set new standards for how walls, subfloors, and more are designed and constructed in homes and buildings. While our company and products are new, our leadership team has vast experience in construction, building science, and manufacturing.

 

WHO ARE YOU? 

A hard-working team player with at least five years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with building materials. In this role, you will coordinate the effective and efficient day-to-day operations of our production facility, which manufactures innovative building materials. The ideal candidate has a strong interest and experience in production processes and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety while contributing to efficient operations. With a focus on team leadership, safety, and process improvement, you will play a critical role in guiding production staff and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Production Operations

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of production operators and team members to ensure efficient operation of machinery and adherence to production schedules.
  • Ensure team members follow safety protocols and maintain clean and organized workspaces.
  • Coordinate routine inspections of equipment and processes, identify and address issues promptly.
  • Oversee the setup and adjustment of machinery for different product runs, ensuring readiness for production.
  • Monitor production targets and quality standards, collaborating with team members to achieve goals.
  • Lead physical inventory tracking, cycle counts, and ensure accuracy in recording.
  • Participate in quality control inspections and maintain documentation of production metrics.
  • Track and report daily, weekly, and monthly production metrics to management.
  • Oversee the availability of product sample inventory to support the sales team.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of forklifts, machinery, and other equipment used by the production team.

Process Improvement

  • Champion initiatives aimed at enhancing production efficiency and reducing waste.
  • Communicate feedback on production processes and implement improvements based on observations.
  • Facilitate and lead training activities that enhance skills and knowledge of equipment and production techniques.
  • Assist with material shipments, both inbound and outbound, as necessary.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Attend team meetings to discuss production schedules, challenges, and improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist in the onboarding and training of new team members.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Stay informed about best practices in manufacturing and industry standards.
  • Foster a positive team environment by supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Education

  • Technical certification or associate’s degree in manufacturing or a related field is preferred.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing or production role, preferably in building materials.
  • Familiarity with machinery operation and safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
  • Forklift operation and material handling.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in the building materials industry is a plus.

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.

 

HOW YOU’LL DO IT:

Location: This is an in-person role located at our headquarters in Wilmington, NC.

Travel: Minimal local travel by personal vehicle is expected; no overnight travel is expected.

Position Type: This is a full-time employee position reporting to the General Manager.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
